Dear Alumnus…
It has been over a year since we came to you with Re>>Member - the Satyam Alumni Portal.
Re>>Member was launched with the objective of reconnecting
with our Alumni, by creating a platform that facilitates exchange
of information and ideas. We were hopeful of giving each one of us
an opportunity to relive old memories, renew relationships and explore
learning opportunities.
Today, Re>>Member has become one of the strongest Alumni networks
with over 8200 members and over 36000 hits registered so far. It
gives us immense pride to notice that our competitors are also following
our footsteps and are taking steps to establish such strong Alumni
networks.
Last year has also seen Satyam grow
from strength to strength. We continue
to leverage the opportunities in the
Systems Integration space and consolidate
our position in this arena and have grown to be a 45,000
people strong Organization.
It has always been our endless pursuit
to make sure that our associates experience
world class HR practices at every interface
point. All our efforts made towards
providing ‘One
Satyam Experience’ to our associates and making Satyam ‘The
Place to Work’ has finally paid off...
It gives us immense pleasure in announcing
that we have been recognized by the
Hewitt Consulting group in the recently
concluded Best Employers 2007 Survey.
We came 2nd in the Survey which was
conducted by Hewitt Consulting and
judged by an eminent jury (with Economic Times as the Media
Partner).
Further to that, we have also been
recognized by Hewitt Asia as being
amongst the Top 20 Best Employers in
ASIA. We are the only IT Company from
India and this is a further recognition
of the fact that we have what it takes
to compete globally.
The selection process involved collecting
inputs from a (randomly selected) cross
section of our associates, site visit
by a panel and voluminous, detailed
documentation.
You will recall that in the last few
months Satyam has also received several
international recognitions:
- Ranked 3rd in the Business Today – Mercer – TNS
Best Employers in India Survey
- Ranked 15th globally by the Training
Magazine
- Ranked 01st in the American Society
for Training & Development’s BEST Awards program
- Co – Winner of the BML Munjal Award for Excellence in Learning & Development
- Winner as Asia’s most admired Knowledge Enterprise
It is gratifying to note that the results of all these surveys have
been consistent.
This is indeed a moment to relish as
it reflects very favorably on our
belief that “Every Satyamite
is a Leader” and vindicates our Distributed Leadership (FLC)
framework - which has obviously made
this achievement possible.
We will of course have to work twice
as hard to retain this leadership
position in the years to come and are totally committed to
growing leaders faster than our competition.
